Emergency Agriculture Education COVID Scholarship

Deadline April 1, 2021

MAITC in response to emergency agricultural education needs in the state generated by COVID protocols and changes in education, is offering a one-time emergency scholarship with funding up to $1,000 for agricultural education programs impacting students in grades pre-K to 12 within the state of Maine.

Virtual Read "ME" Agriculture

Due to challenges of the pandemic, this year MAITC will offer 20 interactive virtual readings by Zoom during the week of March 22 – 26 for grades Pre K to 5 but Register Early, space is limited!

Lynn Snow from Thomaston Grammar School, 2019 MAITC Teacher of the Year, was one of eight teachers nationally awarded the 2020 National Agriculture in the Classroom Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture Award.

The Agricultural Literacy Curriculum Matrix is an online, searchable, and standards-based curriculum map for K-12 teachers and contextualizes national education standards in science, social studies, and nutrition education with relevant instructional resources linked to Common Core Standards.
